The Project:

RD-Support was asked to assist QuantuMDx with the development and manufacture of a microfluidic cartridge for their Q-POC rapid multiplex PCR testing system that delivers fast, accurate and actionable results in approximately 30 minutes at the point of care. This project started in product and process development and 2 products were ISO-13485 validated, launched and the market was supplied with commercial product.

Key Achievements:

  • Completion of manufacturing development and manufacturing of pilot production lots for pre-clinical trials.

  • Rapid switch from Flu to Covid and rapid scale up of manufacture from development batches of 500 parts to 2-shift operation and 25,000 parts per month in 3 weeks.

  • Manufacturing validation acc. ISO-13485 & supply of clinical trial lots.

  • Knowledge transfer to high volume manufacturer (CMO).
